Hello. I'm not related. Have you seen the following?

The New York genealogical and biographical record - v. 34 (1903) New York - Genealogy - page 91
Records of the Church of Christ
Salem, Westchester Co, NY
Nov 29, 1808 Darius Ferris married Harriet Comstock

According to the "Comstock Genealogy" , the three sons of Harriet (Comstock) Ferris are named in the 1826 will of Harriet's mother, Betsey (Raymond) Comstock, the sons so named were; "Darius, Jr., William and Gideon". Is it possible that the 1800 birthyear seen in the other books that mention Darius, Jr was a typo and it was really 1809? Just thinking out loud.

I also found an 1857 obituary in the Hartford Courant about a slave named "O-ne" who was in the care of Mr & Mrs. Darius Ferris, Jr. of Norwalk, Connecticut. I see that this slave, "Onesimus", and his association with the Comstock family is mentioned in the "Comstock Genealogy" on page 15. Considering the information you posted it seems plausible that the couple named in the obituary were Darius & Harriet (Comstock) Ferris. Would you like a copy of this obituary or do you already have it?
