I have posted transcriptions of about 40 personal letters written by one Captain John Brown of Stamford at tonyweller.wordpress.com. The letters, written between 1813-1816, include many references to people in and around the Stamford area.

If you have additional information about the people, places, and events referenced in the letters, I would love to hear about it.
