Bridgeport Revolutionary War Militia records..

On the Bridgeport webpage, I find a list of men who were on the Muster Roll for Harbour Guard Stationed upon Burrough's Warf at the foot of State Street. One of those men is Ichabod Beardsley, who is on no national records of Revolutionary War service, even though he received a pension from the United States government. The heading says these Revolutionary War Records are from First Church.

Is there a published source for these records, and where would it be found? Or do I need to go to church records, in which case, what exactly is First Church? and where is it located?

I appreciate any information anyone can give me.
