Seeking the PARENTAL background and ANY information on my 3rd Great Grandfather JOHN BELDEN BUTTERY born 1782 in Nowalk, Fairfield County CT. His 1st wife was MERCY WEED. He settled in Homer NY in 1806, served in the War of 1812. We discovered and know of 4 children. John Milton Buttery, married Priscilla Nichols, settled in suspension Bridge NY; Sarah M. married a Marshall Gillette; Martha M. married Abel Stebbins; and Charlette who married Seth Haskell. John Belden Buttery died 1975 aged 93ys buried in Simonds Cemetery, Summer Hill NY.
