Have you written to the Archdiocese of Bridgeport to see it they have the records? In your letter ask if the record might be at the state level. I need the same records but from Norwalk and contacted the State of Connecticut. After a year they found the records which were over 100 years old. They sent me copies of the whole file that they had. The State requires to have notarized copy of your letter stating that this is for genealogy records only. I think some banks have a notary public that will not charge. Hope this will be of some help to you.
