Hello.
Did you contact the Ferguson Library in Stamford, CT?
They have an obit/death notice index for the "Stamford Advocate", it was the dominate newspaper of the area during the years that you are interested in. It would cover death notices in Stamford, Darien, Norwalk, Greenwich, New Canaan (but probably not in the Bridgeport area). The Ferguson Library also has Stamford City directories going back to the 1890s.
