I am most anxious to know if the above mentioned family has any living relatives who would be willing to assist a distant cousin?

Found in the Grant Gregory Book, #1400,
James Glynn Gregory, (666.Ira) b. 12 May 1843, Norwalk; d. 1 Feb. 1932, m. 5 Dec. 1877, Jeanette Lindsley, b. 12 May 1852, daughter of Rev. Timothy S. and Jeannett L. Pinneo, of Greenwich, CT. Mr. Pinneo was auth. of Pinneo's grammars. Dr. Gregory, grad. Yale 1865, practiced medicine on Main St/, Norwalk, CT; one of founders of Norwalk, Hospital. He was in Assembly, 1879-80; warden (mayor) of Borough of Norwalk; pers., Fairfield Saving Bank...
Children of Dr. and Mrs. Gregory:

1. Edward Ward Slosson b. 1879, physician, surgeon, Norwalk,CT

2. Jeannette Lindsey, b. 1881, m. Homer Monson, son of Geo. R. and Emma (Morrison) Byington. He was U.S. consul in England; Consul Gen., Naples; later in State Dep't, Washington, D.C.
Their children:
i. Homer M. Monson, jr.
ii. Jennette Gregory Monson, b. 1909, grad Wellesley.
iii. James Gregory Monson, b. 1911, Yale
iv. Joan Richmond Monson, b. 1916, b. in Leeds, England
v. Jannice Joy Monson, b. 1921, b. 1921 Naples
vi. Ward Gregory Monson, b. 1923, Naples.

3. Alyse E. Gregory, b. 17 July 1883, m. 30 Sep. 1924, Lleyellyn Powys. She was managing editor of "The Dial," auth. of, "She Shall Have Music," "Hester Craddock" and other books.

*I am a descendant of John Gregory, b. 29 Apr. 1822, CT.
m. Mary Elizabeth Osborn 6 Feb 1848 by Rev. N. E. Cornwall, (Episcopa) in Southport or Fairfield, CT. Their children were born in Southport, where he kept a grocery store.

i. Edward Peck Gregory, physician in Milford, I think.

ii. Frances Elizabeth Gregory, b.Dec. 1850, d. and was burried in Hartford, CT 1851.

iii. James Halbert Gregory, b. 8 May 1852, batchelor, engineer, CA
iv. ROBERT FREMONT GREGORY, b. 30 Mar. 1857, moved to CA abt 1880, was a printer and publisher of the first newspaper in Bakersfield, CA. He was the father of 13 children. Most of them worked in the medical field, physicians, missionaries. One son, John Gregory, was the first one to isolate the CA virus under electron microscope. Robert Fremont Gregory was my g grandfather. =)

vi. Jessie Benton Fremont Gregory, b. 10 mar 1865 m. ? Bell ?
