ATWELL & PEPPER, Sherman 1830

Would like to correspond with anyone researching either of these family names in and around Sherman, Fairfield Co, CT.

William ATWELL b.?; m.1820c Esther PEPPER b.1790c New Fairfield, CT, dau. of Stephen PEPPER and Esther WANZER. I have a copy of a land deed dated 9 Jan 1833 where William and Esther ATWELL sold a parcel of land in Sherman, Fairfield Co, CT to Cyrus and Benjamin JONES of Dutchess Co, NY. Esther had received this piece of land from her father.

William and Esther moved c1832 to Providence Twp, Luzerne Co, PA (which is now part of the City of Scranton, Lackawanna Co, PA)but must have spent considerable time in Fairfield Co. before moving to PA.

Anyone with any info or possible connections, please post.
