Hi, Joan --
Your Brigid might well be the oldest daughter of our ancestors John Cryan and Attracta McDonough Cryan, who were married March 14, 1825, at Boyle RC. John & Atty's kids were Brigid, baptized at Taunaugh May 26, 1826, Winifred, Sarah, Patrick, Michael, Mary, Anne, John, Mark, James. We think there was a Timothy too. Look at those similar names! We've heard the family lived in Drumraine. The father, John, died, and Atty took all the kids -- except Brigid -- to America in 1848. John had a brother (Mark?) who was already in Boston and they linked up with him. My cousin Pam and I have more information on the family after that, but very little on their life in Ireland -- if you think we're related, please, let's get in touch! -- A. Riley
