David Encinas Cruz, 54, of Indio died Jan. 18, 2006, in Palm Desert.
He was born May 2, 1951, to David Cruz and Theresa Encinas in Indio.
He married Lorey Irene Alvarez on May 6, 1972, in Indio.
He was a self-employed landscaper for 25 years.
He is survived by his wife, Lorey Cruz of Indio; two daughters, Veronica Cruz Amezcua and Christina Cruz of Indio; two sisters, Priscilla Maribel of Grand Terrace and Lorraine Cruz of Temecula; and one brother, David Cruz III of Indio.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. today, with a rosary at 6:30 p.m. at FitzHenry Funeral Home Chapel in Indio.
A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in La Quinta.
Burial will be at Coachella Valley Cemetery with FitzHenry Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
