Looking for info about Peter J. CRUZ b. 1781 in France or Italy d. 1874 in Union County, Kentucky. Married Matilda Abell (daughter of John Abell)in Washington County, Kentucky. Emigrated to Union County, Kentucky about 1820.
Peter J. told the story that he came to America with the trappist Monks who settled in Gethsemane, in Nelson County, Kentucky.
Had seven children,(I have only three names) John Bernard, Joshua, and Andrew. All lived and died in Union County, Kentucky, except Andrew Abell CRUZ m. Rachel PROCTOR and emigrated to Texas. Andrew and Rachel died there. I would greatly appreciate any info of this CRUZ line, Thank you in advance.
