A biography and portrait of Thomas Cruse are included in "Progressive Men of the State of Montana". In 1886, Thomas married Miss Margaret Carter, a sister of Hon. Thomas H. Carter, ex-United States senator from Montana. Margaret did the same year, leaving an infant daughter, Mary.
