Jeremiah Cruse was born Abt. 1770, and died Abt. 1839. He married Delilah Huggins/Huggins November 13, 1807 in Jefferson County, Georgia. (she is possibly second wife)Listed as Croose on 1820 Census.

1-John L. Cruse.John L.Cruse was born Abt. 1814 in Jefferson County, Georgia, and died March 11, 1896 in Forsyth County, Georgia. He married (1) Cynthia (Sinthy) Sams January 12, 1834 in Forsyth County, Georgia. He married (2) Laura B. Tate December 20, 1871 in Forsyth County, Georgia. He married (3) Malinda A. Green November 04, 1879 in Forsyth County, Georgia, daughter of G.W. Green and Paige.

John L. Cruse owned a grocery/restaurant on the square in Cumming in the very early years. The exact place where "Billy & Bonnie's Resturant used to be.("A Stroll Around The Square"-Gladys Barrett)
He won the gold land lottery for a large parcel (40 acres) at Shady Shores(14th district, 1st section-November 29, 1845, but later lost it by selling alcohol during the prohibition.
Purchased Lot 10 in 1867 - a grocery store with property from William Fincher.
Private John L. Cruse - Seminole War Veteran, Captain Hubbard Barker's Company of Georgia Mounted Volunteers, mustered into service at George Kellogg's store in Forsyth County on November 20, 1836. The company was discharged September 23, 1837 in Hall County Georgia.
His brother's Samuel and William also fought.
On his marriage license to Sinthy Sams, he put Jefferson County GA as place of birth. On the 1870 census, it is listed a Florida.
Enumerator in the 1880 Mortality Census of Chestatee District, Forsyth Co, GA.

-James K.P. Cruse,He married (1) Frances 'Octavia'(Octavie) Scoggin January 14, 1872 in Forsyth County, Georgia, daughter of Andrew Scoggin and Salena Davis.
-Martha E. Cruse, born Abt. 1844. She married J.A. Pirkle August 26, 1871 in Forsyth County, Cumming, Georgia.
-Lucinda Cruse, born Abt. 1847. She married Henry Gravitt August 04, 1870 in Forsyth County, Cumming, Georgia.
-Syntha E. Cruse, born 1856 in Forsyth County, Cumming, Georgia. She married Millard F. Scoggins January 23, 1899.
