Hi Valerie,
I am searching for Cruse ancestors in the Ogbourne St. George, Wiltshire area, and both of your ancestors Jonathan and his son William may link with my family tree. Unfortunately, I'm finding many Williams and Jonathans (and Johns, Marys and Elizabeths) all in the same family with children and g-children (etc) of the same name.
Was your g-g-g-grandfather Jonathan born abt. 1825/6 or abt 1782?
On my tree, Jonathan (1826) was the son of Jonathan and Hannah Cruse, and siblings were James (b.1817), John (b.1820), William (b.1822), Mary (b.1828) and Daniel (b.1831).
I know very little about Jonathan b.1825 other than appx date of birth.
Jonathan (b.1782) on my tree had siblings John, Hannah, William, Elizabeth, Richard, Mary, and another Richard.
Please let me know if any of this matches the info you have. Jonathan (1782) is the brother of my g-g-g-g-g-grandfather.
