I have Henry C. CRUSE b. about 1774 in Rowan County, N. C. (Salisbury is the county seat)...and marrying Susan(nah) CRESS (KRESSIN) on 19 August 1794 in Organ Lutheran Church in Salisbury. They had about 10 children, of which one was Absolm B. CRUSE.My line comes out of Absolm's brother, Philip Cruse. Info on Henry C. CRUSE, his 9 other siblings, and 2 generations of his ancestors can be found in Family Tree Makers "World Family Tree" series....WFT Vol 5, Tree # 3055 and WFT Vol 3, Tree # 1328.
