Diana - Thanks so much for replying. You offer some excellent clues for me to follow up on.On our next trip to Ohio we had planned to visit Cadiz, but we will now add Tunnel Hill Cemetery, too.If you live nearby and could possibly revisit that cemetery and check out the gravestone you remember, we would be grateful.Living in New Jersey, we don't make it to Ohio very often. You are right about Dolores Crumrine Rutherford who has been very helpful about the origin and history of the CRUMRINEs.She has a Finley in her records, but lists him as of unknown parentage. My own search goes cold at Finley; that's why I started posting my query. He doesn't appear in any CRUMRINE household in Censuses of Ohio between 1850 and 1880, at least not under that name.I will now concentrate on John CRUMRINE and Catherine BOWERS and their descendants to try to identify who Finley's parents might have been. Thanks again. Cheers, - Michael Kagay
