I am descended from George Crumrine who came from Pa to Monroe Twp., Harrison Co,Ohio around 1820. His son John b. 1797 Md,who married Catherine Bowers had the original land patents for this family. Their land was originally in One Leg Twp., Tuscarawas Co, Ohio but borders changed and it became Monroe,Harrison. This land is very near Tunnel Hill Cemetery, within a few miles, and when I was there one time I noticed a Finley Crumrine whose grave was near some of my Miller relatives. Johns great-grandaughter married a Miller. She was my great-grandmother. I pretty much went straight down the line and didn't research the other branches of John's descendants, most left the area; but if this is your Finley, chances are this may be the right direction for you to look. I always wondered who he was but never got back to him. I have my line on ancestry. If you notice, on this forum Delores Crumrine answers a lot of inquiries. She did some very intense research back to Germany and donated her work to the Family History Centers and a couple of state societies. I notice this forum hasn't been active since March but if you contact her, she may have an answer for you. Meanwhile, I'll look more closely at the stone at Tunnel Hill and get back to you with the exact names and dates on it.
