Well, Ellen, you have the distinction of being the only person so far to ask about continuing this thought. I hope that it is not like one of those things where "be careful what you as for because you may get it".
Personally, from information being made available recently, it appears that Stephen Crump was the son of William of York, and he was certainly not Married to mary Spilman. He was married to an Anne (Unknown). Lots of speculation floating around on who Anne was, but definitely wife of William of York, later New Kent County.
I cannot address Richard, son of Stephen at this point, so this is the era that is under question.I think by the Nathaniels things begin to be more orderly, and I have no reason to question your information beginning with Richard/Nathaniel (1).
To answer your question directly, no, I am not a New Kent County Crump researcher. We have several folks doing that, so most of my own research centers around Adam Crump, his sons John Bushrod Crump and James Crump, and Adam's father, James, who died in Dublin in 1737. My current interest is in the Irish Crumps.
But, stay tuned, new informtion is developing fairly quickly in the scheme of things. Regards, Ed
