The 1850 US census of Cape Girardeau Co., MO, shows the following:

[p. 424, hh#1196]

CRUMP, Fireby - age 55 - F - NC
-- Elijah - age 24 - M - TN
-- Rachael - age 22 - F - KY
-- Nancy H. - age 19 - F - KY

The CRUMP's lived in that part of Cape Girardeau County that was cut off to form Bollinger County in 1851. Elijah owned land near what is now Leopold, MO, about a mile west of the present Bollinger-Cape Girardeau county line.
