Jo, sorry if I already sent this in another forum but, re: anna crump's parentage:

This is from my Aunt Wilma (Gott) Rabb's note:

"The following is taken from a letter of Lucinda Frances Locke-Mock to Belle S. Mock-Gott (Frances' daughter), March, 1939:

'My mother's family, William and Elizabeth Crump came to KY from Virginia in the late 1700's. My mother was one of six children. Anna, the oldest married John Locke, the oldest son of Jacob and Esther Locke; to them were born seven children, the oldes, Jacob J; then Mary E., Lucinda F., Nancy J. (married name Roaten), David J., Anna B., and John H. the Locke Family came from Illinois in 1812. My grandmother Locke's maiden name was Esther Hall. You five children were all born in the same log cabin on the George Mundy farm, Slick Rock, Kentucky in Barren County. the attending pnysician was Dr. Tom Newburry. Benjamin Ray was born in Kansas, as was Anna."
