I have a Jewell Crump living with my gg grandparents Sylvester and L.F. (overstreet) HOLLIS. They were found in Callahan Co, TX in 1910. he is listed as a nephew. The Hollis's have two sons in the household at the time. Earnest age 28 and Sargent age 18. All are Listed as born in Mississippi. Jewell was known as Hamp Crump to family. When Mrs. Hollis passed on The raising of Jewell was passed on to Sargent and His wife Nettie Pearl Grisham b. in TX. Hamp or Jewell grew up and Married Lois? Lois later Married Davis Lee Hollis son of Sargent. I believe Lois and Hamp had a son and daughter. Daughter was in Ft. Worth,TX area when Lois Hollis passed on. Daughter's Name may be Judy. Any info on parents of Jewell crump and connection to Hollis's or Overstreets would be appreciated. Will share the info I have. I was told Jewell's parents were either killed or died in an accident. My greataunt was not sure of the connection or how the child came to the Hollis's except he was Kin and his parents died. thank you.
