My family tree, which may be very inaccurate, shows a Robert Crump, b 1740-1750 in North Carolina, but died 1811 in N.C, was married to Mary Parr. It says that Robert Crump is listed in the D.A.R. Patriot Index. It shows Silas Crump as their son, b. Salisbury District, Stokes, N.C. , d.Nov.17,1834 and married to Sarah Hannah Riggs of Maryland. I am very interested in the subject, but I really know very little about it! My mother was a Crump, born to William Oscar Crump and Irene Rebekah Mayo in 1917 in Memphis, Tennessee.
