There is quite a bit of information on Sgt. Thomas Crump
who was a burgess from James city in 1631. He was in Jamestown
in 1624 and may have arrived in the "Bonnie Bess". He is listed as
living with John West on James Island in 1624. His descendents
are well researched. See A Crump on Every Stump, by Marius
Randolph and Nellie McLane Barham.
