Joannine, I see that Wallace was in NM with Columbus and James in 1900. Any idea when or where he died. I have not looked beyond the 1900 census yet, but likely he can be found somewhere between 1910 and 1930 if he lived.
There was a Columbus born a few decades earlier that this Columbus maybe this one was named for? This isn't the first William Wallace either.
By he way, James Franklin Crump, Jr. was MY ggrandfather. His son Sidney Johnston Crump was my grandfather.
Finally, is there a male Crump in your line who could do the DNA test. That would confirm which Crump WW was from if any Crump family prior to 1780 in this country. LMK.
James Franklin did have a son William by his first wife, but that son was William Henry.
