Virginia, the Adam Crump you referred to had three children, but they all moved to North Carolina by 1777. I do not know the parents or brothers of Adam, yet. There were some Crumps in MD as early as the 1660's, but the majority came from the New Kent County, VA area, and may have been related to those in Maryland. What have you found in the census records. Should be a good source for someone not born until the 1890's. Good Luck!
