I just got some information that takes my family tree back to Thomas Crompe (Crump) and Elizabeth Buck. I was reviewing one of my CD's from Family Tree Maker (Virginia Vital Records #1 1600s-1800s) and I found Thomas Crompe came from England and was in the military. He is listed both as a Sergeant and a Lieutenant pp 598.

Hope this help. Would like any information that you have also.
