Kathleen, it took me awhile to figure this out, but here goes. After your first inuiry I answered with one about at least three Crumps in Claiborne Parish. One response from "Elmo" mentioned a John Crump in the 1850 Mississippi Census. It was there that I discussed John Bushrod Crump, Jr. NOT to be confused with the 1850 John Crump in Claiborne, Louisiana. Sorry for the confusion. I still have no further info on the John in Claiborne. Edmomd Crump had a son John, but he was not born until 1830. It is interesting however, that Edmond Crump's father William was married to an Elendor MAY! Edmond and Milly had a dau named Nancy, but she was born about 1836 in TN. Sorry again for the confusion. Too many John Crumps . Ed
