Jacki, glad I could help you out somewhat. I got that info from a cousin of mine in Callaway County, MO. You might checkout her website at http://cainreunion.com/ and see if you can find out more of what you're looking for. Just click on the Crump section of the Ancestor tab and it will bring up my Crump family tree (be patient, it takes a minute to load). I have found it to be very interesting and enlightening to look over. I believe it goes back to the 1700s. Wish it went back further, but the information is pretty detailed. Hope this atleast helps you out a little.
Pretty cool to come across someone in my distant family this way. It looks as if my great-great grandfather was Hugh Melvin Crump...brother of Elijah. Great to meet you, cousin!
