I'm not sure whose message it was about John Crump in the 1850 La. census being John Bushrod Crump, Jr., and that he was born in 1774 in North Carolina -- this information does not "mesh" with the census information -- it shows this John Crump as being born in Tennessee in about 1803, not 1774. I'm confused! Can anyone enlighten me?
