I'm researching Frances Monteney Crump's brother Alexander Monteney / Mountney etc. Jr. (b.c. 1630-living 1686) who was in Baltimore Co., Md. by 1661. My ancestor Elizabeth Montany (b. circa 1705, mar. circa 1723 Richard HUKILL of Back Creek Hundred, Cecil Co., Md. (in eastern-central Cecil on the New Castele Co., Del. border)and brother William Montany (d. 1752-cecil Co., Md.) had to be Alexander Jr's grandchildren but I can't find any indication of the missing son/father in Baltimore, Cecil, Kent, Talbot or Queen Anne's Cos. William Montany's estate records list James RASIN/ REASON and Richard Hukill as "next of kin; Richard Hukill was Wm's brother-in-law so assume James RASIN / REASON was also. James was captain of a ship in 1746 so assume he was born by 1710; he lived in Baltimore Co., the area that became Harford Co. in 1773; he died there 1778-1783.
I've found 2 daughters for Alexander Monteny Jr.:
1. Elizabeth mar. James TODD of Patapsco Neck, Baltimore Co. c. 1696; died shortly after the birth of her only child Ann who mar. Joseph Johnson 1713. James Todd mar. 2) Penelope SCUDMORE and died 1709 in Baltimore Co.
2.Hannah mar. John HURST of Anne Arundel Co. by 1701; had children: Elizabeth, Isaac, John, Edward, Alexander.
Have any of you found any mention of any Monteney's, other than Alexander, in Crump family records ?
