Charles Cary Crump was son of Fendall Crump and second wife Martha Pope
She was the daughter of John Pope and Ann Whitaker. Charles’ half-brother Richard Walker Crump was also a physician.
The man named Richard Slaughter in CC Crump’s household in 1850 is the son of Hannah Crump and her husband William H. Slaughter, Hannah was half-sister to CC Crump
