Oh Ed, is this a new can of worms for me? I did not know about Mary Cook! There is a marker there for Elijah Dodson who married Susan C Crump (James Darnal Crump)no marker for Susan but a space with a sandstone placed there.
There are markers for Parthenia (Susan C,James Darnal)Minnie (Susan, James)Etoile (Minnie,Susan,James)so if Pinkney O. is the son of James D, it could be him. His grave is near the others. Since there are no recorded markers for James D & Malissa I only speculate that they too, are buried there as there are several empty spaces in the same area. The marker for P.O. is broken into 3 or 4 pieces and there is a rock beside it that at one time had some writing carved on it but it is so old & worn that it is completely unreadable. Thanks for your response, I will some searching now on Pinkney.
