Louisa Decker sounds aufully familiar to me. I thought I had her in the Conrad Crump line from Caldwell Co. NC, but am unable to find her there. But the earliest Thomas I find in Conrad's line is not until 1842 or so. But I know that name is familiar from somewhere. Maybe its the exchange some of us had here last year regarding her.

While I have two Alexander Crumps in my line, neither seem to fit the time frame. I'll check further tomorrow. but, Caldwell is definitely North Carolina and generally considered the area of Conrad Crumps family.

We have identified 26 of 31 Crumps by their lines by DNA testing, but have not yet gotten anyone from Conrad's line to participate. I am hopeful that if we can find just one that knows he is from Conrad's line, we may be able to identify one or two more that have already been tested.

I will look further tomorrow for Louisa. Ed Crump
