I'm happily surprised to see you know the name of John Crump, Jr.'s wife and that he died in 1812. I knew neither of these things. He and his brother Sherwood came to Bourbon County from New Kent County, VA in 1810. Their brother Joseph had preceded them to Bourbon County, and they all settled in the area near Millersburg along Hingston Creek, Flat Run and Flat Lick. A log cabin built by one of John's neices and her husband is still standing. I believe that several of John's direct descendants still live in Bourbon County and Nicholas County nearby. I have quite a lot of information about this family and will be happy to share it. Look forward to hearing from you.
