Although I have replied to Michael directly, this is to let everyone know that George W. was a son of John D. Crump and his wife in 1860, Permilla. By 1870, Permilla had apparently died and John D. had remarried to Elizabeth. But, George W. is shown in John's household in 1860 and 1870. By 1880, he had married Susan and his brother John T. was living with them in his household in Gilmer Co., GA.
John D. Crump was a son of John Crump, son of Conrad Crump, so this is the line. John is well documented as being in Georgia by this time. I think John was the only son of Conrad to migrate to Georgia, but that is not confirmed.
