Claiborne Parish Crumps. There had to be at least three fairly early Crumps. Interesting for such a samll place. Edmond Crump b 1805 TN apparently arrived in Claiborne abt 1841. He had a son John b in TN in 1830. 7 boys and 1 girl. I see references to a John Crump who was 47 in 1850 in Claiborne. He 'could' have been a brother to Edmond, but no evidence. Actually, I know nothing about the 1803 John.
Finally, my own line is from Albert Sidney Johnston Crump who did not move to Claiborne until the 1890's or so.

I am most curious about the John of the 1850 census. Anybody know anything about him?
