Richard m. Sarah Smith 12 Apr 1796 in Clark or Montgomery Co. KY.
He was born 1772 and died in 1828 in Calloway Co., MO.
His father was Turner Crump who was probably the one who was a carpenter for George Washington.
He is on the 1840 Census in Calloway Co., MO. 20011 10101
Turner Crump married Mary Halley and left an inventory of his estate in Fayette Co., KY (Lexington) in 1792. At least one brother was Benedict Crump of New Kent Co., KY. Turner was also a founding member of the Boones Creek Bapt Church in Fayette Co., KY.
I am working on this family now. My gr gr grandfather was Richard Crump, born abt. 1803, who married Nancy McCarty in Bath County in 1823. Some indicate that my Richard was a son of Havilah Crump in Barren County but I am trying to find out if he might have been a son of your Richard Crump and Sarah Smith.
