Your Richard may be the son of my Richard Crump who lived in Callaway Cty MO and had a son who married a dau of Daniel Boone or a dau married his son any way there is a connection. I remember that the family rememberences always said that Grandma knew Daniel Boone. My ggggrandmother Lucinda Crump is the dau of Richard she married John Blakemore Bragg @1815. A book on Daniel Boone I found in Callaway Library listed all of Richards children but the only ones I can recall were Lucinda who was the oldest or oldest girl, the one who married into Daniels family and a boy in the middle of about 12 children named Turner Crump and he went to OR maybe up the Oregon Trail before 1848. The family was from Virginia, but I know nothing else. I don't know if Lucinda married Bragg in MO or they were married before the group came possibly with Daniel Boone. They may have met the Boones in KY after they left VA maybe about 1790-1805. Daniels son Nathan Boone and the Bragg family were both in the Ash Grove area of MO in about 1832-35, and Nathan's original homestead is being restored for a park. This Boone son may be the connection to Crumps. I know next to nothing and would appreciate anything. You can use e-mail for contact. Billie
