I believe the Sherwood Crump you are asking about is:

Sherwood Crump, b.25 June 1768 New Kent Co., VA; d. Mar 1814 Bourbon Co., KY

Son of John Crump and Patty Crump?? John
b. Sep 20, 1728 New Kent Co.VA.

John (1728) was the son of William Crump and Mercy____?
