Silas Crump, (b. 1775 Pittsylvania, VA, d. 10/31/1884, Tuscaloosa, AL, m. ca. 1795, Stokes, NC) and his wife, Sarah Hannah RIGGS (b. ca. 1776, MD, d. 2/7/1856, Tuscaloosa, AL) had 14 children, last among them, Sidney and Zachariah. Much of the family and extended family lived in Franklin Co., GA, St. Clair County, AL, and Etowah County AL(formerly St. Clair Co.).

Silas' parents were Robert G. Crump and Mary PARR, both of VA. Robert G.'s parents were Robert Crump of VA and Jane LAZONBY of MD.

My line is Silas's brother John D. Crump. The "Southern Connections" web page (http://www.familytreemaker.com/users/l/o/f/Beverly-A-Loffler/COL29-0058.html) has a lot of info on the family, but not much on these two specific lines.
