Carolyn, I am a decendant from the Conrad Crump Branch.
Conrad was a Hessian Soldier who changed sides to fight for the Americans, was granted land in Meckenberg, Co, NC and settled there.
The historian who "knows all" is G. Norman Crump from North Carolina.
There is a family reunion every Sept. near the Crump Lingle Cemetery.
