Armagh:CRUMEY/CRUMMEY/CRUMBIE/CRUMBEY

My gt-gt-gt-grandfather was Bernard CRUMBIE/CROMBIE and he was a flour miller from County Armagh. His wife was Elisabeth DURESS and their son, my gt-gt-grandfather, Joseph CRUMBEY/CRUMBIE, was born in Armagh (possibly in the 1830s). Joseph was living in Glasgow by the time he married my gt-gt-grandmother Ann RILEY/REILLY in June 1856. She was also originally from Armagh, the daughter of Bernard and Alice RILEY. Joseph CRUMBEY/CRUMBIE's occupation is listed as labourer at the steel works in Glasgow in the 1881 Census. The family were Catholic. The surname goes on to appear under a variety of spellings.

I would appreciate anything which might be of interest or help and of course I would be happy to share whatever information I can.

Kind regards,
Ruth Crumey
