David,
The John C. Crumley b. 1/28/1825 is John Clark Crumley.
He married Jane Crumley a distant cousin I think. They migrated to DeKalb Co. AL and founded the Crossville Methodist Church. This line is well documented.

As far as I know the Crumleys that went to MO came from Thomas Charles Crumley Jr. m. Susan Terrell. They had a son William Erwin Crumley b. ~1830 married Margaret Witzel.

Your best bet is to e-mail Truett (twcsr@bellsouth.net) and ask him your questions.

July 13, 1902 Irvin Crumley married Sarah Bryson in Polk Co. TN. See...Polk Co. Tenn. Marriage Records- 1894-1970 Compiled by Jennie V. Poteet-Pitts page 54. Polk Co is the SE county in TN next to Fannin Co. GA. Fannin, Gilmer, and Union were where Thomas Charles and families lived before William Erwin killed my gggrandfather John Crumley. They all left GA and went to Barry Co. MO after the killing.

Hope this helps. But do e-mail Truett.
Ken Crumbly in VA
