Hi Alan
I agee there are a lot around, but none seem to belong to me. I have a g.g.grandfather Denis Patrick/Patrick born in Ireland about1796-1804.This I know from the census returns, but not where in Ireland. He married Ann(surname unknown)born in 1801 in Ireland and they had at least three children, Patrick born about 1830,Mary born about 1835 and John born about 1838 all in Ireland. At some stage they settled in Jarrow and I have been able to trace my line from Patrick to the present day. Sadly the name has now died out. I have discovered another branch of the Crummey family in Tow Law and one of them gives his birthplace as Sligo. Unfortunately I cannot find confirmation that they were related. have you any ideas where I could look now?
Jenny
