My great grand father was Andrew Jackson Crume father to Charles C. Crume do you know who he was married to?
I cant seem to find out. I was told of an african american male that came to the house as a young boy traveling alone he stayed with her for several years. He told her one day that it was time for him to leave and she packed him his clothes and some food and sent him on his way. They never heard from him again. This was told to me by my mother Merti Crume daughter to Charles son of Andrew Jackson whose wife this would have been . She also told me that Andrew went off to war and never returned and they never heard from him again. We have only known about him being at camp butler for about 25 years.
