DECENDENTS OF DANIEL CRUMB

My ancestor Philip Crume was born 9 Aug. 1724 and died 20 Apr. 1801 in Bardstown, Nelson Co., Kentucky. His date of birth and the names of his parents, Daniel Crume and Elizabeth Brook, are recorded in a family bible (Philip Crume family Bible, publ. London 1759, in poss. of Mr. W. E. Crume, Tuscaloosa, AL, 1962). I’m trying to find out where Philip was born and to learn something about his parents. He first shows up in 1749 living on Flint Run in Augusta County, Virginia (Peggy Shomo Joyner, Abstracts of Virginia’s Northern Neck Warrants & Surveys, Portsmouth, Va.: P. Joyner, c. 1985-1987, vol. 1, p. 29).
In 1694 Daniel Crumb, Sr. (died 1713) registered his cattle’s ear mark in Westerly, R.I. (Clara Crumb Fisk, The Crumb Genealogy, Sarasota, FL, 1956, p. 11). That suggests that he had a son, Daniel Crumb, Jr., perhaps born about 1680. Maybe Daniel Crumb, Jr. was the father or grandfather of Philip Crume (1724-1801). Daniel Crumb, Jr., doesn’t show up in other records of Westerly, so if he existed and lived to adulthood, he probably moved away.
