Hi Jean,

My descent is through Mary "Polly" Crum who married Pleasant Bannister. However, she had a daughter, Elizabeth Crum (b. about 1828) who married John Hinkle 11/6/1847 in Johnson County KY. My grandmother and my great-aunt both told me that Mary Polly first married Phillip Crum, her cousin, and had Elizabeth (my line). Phillip died, and she later married Pleasant Bannister and had four children: Anderson, Mary, Barbara, and Alafair. My great-aunt also said that Mary Polly's father was Plez Crum who came from Holland to Pennsylvania. Since Adam was Mary Polly's father, I'm wondering if Plez (Pleasant?) from Holland could have been her grandfather instead. (These are just clues, as I have no proof.)

I'm also wondering if anyone has come across a Phillip Crum, as I haven't found anything on him yet. He probably would have been born in the late 1700's in either PA, VA, or WVA and died before 1835. I would appreciate any information anyone can share regarding Phillip Crum or Adam Crum's parents. Thanks!

Brenda
