I am looking for the parents of Samuel Henry Crum born in Frederick Co. VA. area. I have reason to believe they were Anthony Crum III (b. ca. 1765 d. ca. 1824) and his second wife Sopha (Sophia)who lived near "Long Marsh" in Frederick Co. She d. ca. 1825. Does anyone have any info on this family or know the location of "Long Marsh"? Samuel Henry and his younger brother William were orphaned and came to Floydsburg, KY. in 1836 to collect an inheritance from their mother's sister Mrs. Geo. W. (Martha) Griffith. I also have reason to believe that their mother's maiden name was Howard. Any help appreciated.
