Maybe I can clear up a little of the confusion on the Crum line. I have a marriage license for Ethel Twinam and John Millard Defoe. My great grandmother was Susan Sexton Defoe Crum. Susan's 1st marriage was to James Defoe. And from this marriage came several children including John. She then married my great grandfather James Crum. A lot of the Defoe children went by the last name of Crum. John sometimes was called Defoe and sometimes by Crum.It is very confusing. John died in 1918 during the flu epedemic. I have his death certificate. I hope this helps. If I can help any more just let me know. Thanks, Sharon
