Dear Dwight--

Thank you for your response. It sounds like you have been doing a great deal of work on the Crum lines--hopefully your books will clear up some of the confusion caused by earlier published works. I agree--as far as I can tell Adam's line does not cross Anthony or Christian's.

Not even sure if there is one more Adam between the one supposedly born in 1756 and my furthest back for sure, which is 1806. The confusion comes in because every child of the original Adam named one son Adam...yikes! So there's about 9 Adam first cousins, (and who knows how many 2nd counsins named Adam) some born within a year or two of each other!!

My line is Adam I born (most say 1756) ?(spouse Barbara Horn(e))...

Adam II--born abt.1806 (spouse Eliz. Bannister)
Adam III--born abt.1843 (spouse Louisa L. Chandler?)
John Wesley--b. 1862 (spouse Judith Ward)
Benjamin--b. 1886 (spouse Sarah "Sallie" Ann Dutton)
Melvin--b. 1925 (spouse Evelyn Setser--my parents. I kept my maiden name due to my writing.)

If you ever come across any information that would help clear this up...it would be a wonder!

Please keep me in mind. In the meantime, I continue whenever I get a chance.

Thanks!
Shutta
